a little personality

Probably one of the best parts of my job at Ibotta was writing the weekly app store release notes. I thought I could safely assume not many folks read this space, so I had fun here—while staying on-brand—like giving little weekly high-fives to passersby.

It was great practice translating technical requirements and jargon-filled outcomes into approachable language everyone can understand, and kept me up-to-date on launches across the company. And as a happy coincidence, it was a great way to connect with developers with whom I was in more contact since writing release notes (and who got a chortle out of these sometimes).

One time I made a Game of Thrones reference—something about squashing bugs, like Cersei and Jamie in the Red Keep—and it somehow made its way to Reddit, which is a career accomplishment if you ask me.
